Ariane Diamonds Jewelry Care Guide
Protecting the beauty and brilliance of your fine jewelry.
Your Ariane Diamonds jewelry is handcrafted with exceptional materials and deserves lifelong care. To ensure it sparkles for generations, follow these expert tips for cleaning, storage, and daily wear.
Daily Wear Tips
Remove jewelry during hands-on activities.
Take off your rings when doing housework, exercising, gardening, or lifting heavy objects to avoid bending, scratching, or damaging the setting.
Take off jewelry before sleeping or showering.
Sleeping in your jewelry can loosen prongs over time, and soaps and shampoos can leave buildup on your pieces.
Remove your jewelry before engaging in these or other strenuous activities
- Weightlifting
- Hiking
- Rock Climbing
- Gardening
- Biking
- Swimming (pools/ocean/hot springs)
- Household chores
- Working with your hands
- Moving and lifting boxes
Avoid contact with chemicals.
Keep your jewelry away from perfumes, lotions, hairspray, chlorine, and cleaning products, as these can dull metal and damage stones over time.
Put your jewelry on last.
Always apply beauty products and sunscreen first—then finish your look with your jewelry.
Avoid
- Contact with cleaning solutions
- Contact with perfumes, hair spray, cosmetics and lotions.
- Sleeping with your jewelry.

Cleaning Your Jewelry
Regular at-home cleaning:
Use Our Ariane Diamonds cleaner! Our gentle, non-toxic, and biodegradable formula is safe for your skin, jewelry, and the environment—yet tough enough to lift away everyday dirt and buildup, restoring your jewelry’s original shine.
Or clean most Ariane Diamonds pieces with warm water, a few drops of mild dish soap, and a soft toothbrush. Gently scrub, rinse, and dry with a lint-free cloth.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for certain pieces:
Not all jewelry is safe for ultrasonic machines—especially pieces with pavé settings, emeralds, opals, or antique stones. When in doubt, ask us.
Wipe after each wear:
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove oils and residue after wearing your jewelry, especially rings and earrings.
Stone & Metal-Specific Care
Diamonds:
Though extremely hard, diamonds can chip at the edges or scratch softer stones. Store them separately to prevent this.
Gold & Platinum:
Gold is a soft metal—especially 14K and 18K—so avoid direct impact and store carefully. Platinum is more durable, but can still scratch.
Delicate settings:
Rings with pavé, micro pavé, and thin bands should be worn with extra care. These designs are beautiful but more vulnerable to damage from impact or bending.
Opals and Pearls:
If you have a fine jewelry piece that contains a pearl or opal, extra care should be taken. These gems are porous and can be damaged by most household chemicals and products. They are extremely soft and susceptible to abrasion and chipping.
Storage Tips
Store jewelry separately.
Use soft-lined boxes or fabric pouches. Avoid letting pieces rub against each other, especially with mixed metals or stones.
Travel with protection.
If jewelry can't be worn while traveling, use a travel case with separate compartments or zip pouches when taking jewelry on the go.
Get your ring inspected regularly.
We recommend a professional inspection and cleaning every 6 months. This helps catch loose prongs, worn settings, or early signs of wear.
Tighten stones as needed.
If you notice any movement in your stone, stop wearing it and contact us right away for a tightening or repair.
Use your warranty or service plan.
Ariane Diamonds offers repair and service options—reach out anytime for professional care or questions about your piece.
